Their business model is not necessarily based on perpetual growth, instead placing emphasis on value, short shelf life and the freshest of ingredients. They sell produce as locally as possible and aim to grow through efficiency, rather than obtaining more property or buying more tractors and fancy equipment.
Ben, the farmer behind 24 Carrot Farm, is also incredibly open and transparent about his farming practices therefore gaining the trust of the Placerville community (and beyond!) This includes an immersive farm field-trip for local students called 'Ag in the Classroom' that connects young children to where their food comes from.
