Plum & Honey Old Fashioned with Edible Flower Ice Cubes
Ingredients
2-3 Tulare Giant Plums
1/4 cup Honey
4 ounces bourbon
Angostura bitters
Edible flowers
Instructions
The night before making place edible flowers into an ice cube tray, fill with water, and freeze
cut plums into thin slices and place in a pot on the stove with 1/2 cup of water. Slowly bring to a simmer until plums split, releasing juice.
Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 cup of honey
Strain out plum slices and pour the syrup into a jar to let cool
Once syrup has cooled add 4 ounces to a cocktail shaker with ice, 4 ounces of bourbon, and a few dashes of Angostura bitters. Shake until cold
Strain and pour into two rocks glasses with edible flower ice cubes, garnish with a plum slice, and enjoy!
